Brawley is the base
We farm in the Imperial Valley. Hay is the center of the operation — alfalfa, Giant Bermuda retail hay, Bermuda, Sudan, Klein, and other rotational forage. Onions, melons, corn, custom growing, and custom tillage sit beside it.

The next crop depends on the bed we leave. That is true for our hay and for custom ground.
Irrigation discipline
Colorado River water is scheduled and measured. We farm inside that system.
Clean work for the next crop is the last step, not an extra. Whether the ground is ours or a partner’s, it should be ready to go back into hay, vegetables, or the next rotational crop.
